58. Assassin's Creed Origins Misc Achievements

There are several miscellaneous achievements that aren't exactly tied to skills. They're all pretty straight-forward in terms of how to unlock them, and you shouldn't be spending too much time on them if you know what you're doing.

The first achievement to be aware of, mentioned in the early pages of the walkthrough, is for selling at least 100 trinkets at once. This is missable due to bootable objects never recreating more loot for you to take, so be careful and never sell any as you play through the game.

When you have 100 trinkets (animal goods are completely different), go to any vendor and sell everything at once using the button prompt near the bottom of your screen. If you'd like to be safe, go and sell all your animal goods first and count up all your trinkets in your inventory after you back out of the selling menu. If you do miss this or it doesn't pop for whatever reason, you can do this in New Game Plus. When you start NGP, you'll not only retain your level and perks, but you'll also keep any trinkets you have on you before you start it, so it won't be too bad of a grind if you're not as fortunate your first time around.

One of the easier miscellaneous achievements is obtained by riding each type of rideable vehicle at least once. These include the camel, the horse, the horse cart, the ox cart, the chariot, the canoe, and the sailboat. You start off with a camel, and horses are easy to find. Chariots can be earned and ridden in the Hippodrome, or you can purchase one with the Chariot Owner perk in the Seer skill tree. Horse carts are easy to find as well, since most caravans drive them, but ox carts are a bit more rare. There's always one for you to drive in the New Kid in Town quest in Letopolis, which is at the southern end of Sapi-Res Nome.

Canoes are generally in the rivers of Egypt, and are common in Kanopos Nome. Sailboats are just about everywhere else, and you'll first come across them in Lake Mareotis.

Another easy achievement is for destroying 100 destructible objects, like pots and other things. Since you're probably not going to hit many of these you might actually have to boost this out.

  • Smash!

One achievement is based purely on luck, and is awarded for seeing bugs rain from the sky during a hallucination in the desert. For this, people usually run around in the more desert-y regions until it happens. It'll look like this.

Two more achievements are related to using Senu and your own movement. By using Senu for at least half an hour, you'll get Free as a Bird (a half hour passes by quickly), and for swimming, running and riding for specific distances you'll earn Triathlete. The latter should come naturally as you complete the game. Unfortunately, war chariots won't count towards your distance, so you'll have to use a camel or horse. On the bright side, the riding requirement is the easiest to grind since you can set a destination and have your mount go there automatically.

  • Triathlete

Swim for 1500m, ride for 40km and run for 10km.

The next pair is fairly related. One requires you to feed a corpse to a predator; just take any dead body and bring it to a predator den, preferably on horseback. One such predator is the hippo, which you need to run from combat three times. Hippos are surprisingly fast, but this achievement should come naturally anyway. You can run from the same hippo three times if you want, but you'll honestly get this one without trying.

The rarest miscellaneous achievement is for killing 30 enemies using oil jars shot with fire arrows. The best way to get this done, if you're not finding any soldiers conveniently standing next to oil jars, is to simply take small oil jars over to knocked out enemies. Enemies defeated with unarmed combat are merely downed and not dead, so you can move oil jars next to them and send a flaming arrow into it to set them ablaze. Achievements have no tracker for this game at all, which you've probably already deduced, so just keep trucking until the achievement pops.

  • BOOM!

Kill 30 enemies by shooting a fire arrow at oil jars.

    BOOM!

The rest of the achievements from this point on are a bit more peaceful in nature. The first is for defogging the entire map, which you'll naturally get while completing all the locations. The other is for taking at least one picture in five different regions. People claim that the achievement didn't pop for them unless Bayek is in the picture, so you may as well put him in the frame as you work on this.

  • Reporter

Take 1 photo in 5 different territories.

On the game's main menu, select Discovery Tour and start the first tour that will be provided for you. You don't have to listen to every station in its entirety if you don't want to, so if you just want to speed things up, head to each station and exit out of it so you can run to the next one. Every final station must be listened to in full, however, but that won't ever take long.

Upon finishing your first tour, you'll be able to use the pause menu to change the character you're running around with. You'll need to complete tours with five different characters for one achievement, and complete all of the 20 Daily Life tours for another. You can select each Daily Life tour easily with the Passport portion of the pause menu. You can also select tours using the map.

  • Polymorph

Complete tours with at least 5 different characters

There are two more achievements that aren't tied to skills that you can unlock in the base game area as long as the DLC is installed. For these, you need to simply free 20 rebels in camps (enemies and rebels will respawn over time) and perform three assassinations from ziplines. There are tons of caged rebels all throughout Egypt; the zipline achievement, however, is more easily performed in the DLC areas anyway.

  • Zip it Off

The last miscellaneous achievement is from The Curse of the Pharaohs. In the afterlife areas, there are three types of enemies: scorpions, priests of Anubis, and mummies. Scorpions are easy to identify, of course, but the difference between the priests and the mummies is that mummies lack the trademark Anubis-shapred head in favor of a more rounded one. Killing one of these enemies with fire gives you this last miscellaneous achievement.
