37. Assassin's Creed Origins Memphis

Memphis is one of the more important regions of Egypt, despite its small size. There's quite a lot to do here.

Quest: A Dream of Ashes

Suggested: Lv21

Hide ads

Reward: 3300XP

Returning to the seer after one of the story quests so you can talk about the dream you had. Before the seer will talk about it, he has a more pressing matter for you to help with. He believes three people are in danger, and wants you to deliver scarab amulets to them in order to keep them safe. Simply get to each of the people and give them their amulet, then meet the seer by the docks.

After speaking with the seer about your dream, he tells you that you can get rid of this nightmare by the use of a statue in the water. Take the statue to the seer and use the Dawn & Dusk skill to meditate with him. This will finish the ritual, but the seer will have vanished as the quest ends.

Quest: Blood in the Water

Suggested: Lv20

Reward: 1500XP

A crocodile hunter is being hired to make sure the crocodiles don't overpopulate, but things are getting a bit too intense for him. Sit on his boat and he'll tell you about his problem; someone's been pouring blood into the water to agitate the crocodiles even further. Kill some crocodiles outside the palace and then meet the hunter in the caves underneath the palace at nighttime.

The hunter will tell you the locations of the two people who have been dumping human body parts into the river to attract the crocodiles. Kill them and the quest will end.

Quest: Children of the Streets

Suggested: Lv23

Reward: 3300XP

When you arrive near this place, a child will run by and you'll have to chase him down. He'll land between three bandits that you need to fight off before you can talk to them. The child's sister has been taken away, so you'll tell him you'll look for her. There's an oil seller that will be too stubborn to help you out, so break his jars to the left of him to loosen him up. From the information he's gathered, Bayek will deduce that the ship owners must have stolen the girl.

Travel to the hideout and talk to the child hiding here to find out that the girl you're looking for is being held in the house of a woman named Gaia. Travel to the house and take the key from one of the bandits guarding it, then look for a staircase around the building to get to her. Angry about what has happened to her family, she'll plan on killing those responsible before the three of them leave.

Quest: Mortem Romanum

Suggested: Lv30

Reward: 3000XP

Gaia, the woman who's been ruining the children's family, is leaving to Alexandria by ship. Track her down and kill all of her men first, since they'll actually be attacking you. Once they're down, walk up to her and be as dramatic as you wish about killing her to finish the quest.

Quest: Odor Most Foul

Suggested: Lv20

Reward: 1500XP

It seems some demons are being a bit too smelly underground. Use Senu to look for the entrance and you'll find some bandits, go figure. Keep exploring and you'll enter an investigation, which will result in you finding out that the mummification process has been completely disregarded. This alone is the cause of the smell, so travel to Wabet and inspect the temple. After talking to a man working on a corpse, you'll learn that natron is used to prepare the bodies, but it's been a bit weird lately.

Talk to the man out back, who will tell you that the natron has been mixed with sand recently. Travel to the warehouse and you'll find the head embalmer, who will explain that he's being forced to do this to protect his daughter. Find the men responsible in a nearby cave and kill them to end the quest.

Quest: Taimhotep's Song

Suggested: Lv22

Reward: 3000XP

Taimhotep is still mourning after the seer's help. Bayek will offer to collect ingredients for a ritual to protect her pregnancy. Speak to a woman running a shop underground and push a hidden cabinet behind a white curtain to find a fertility doll, then bring bird parts to Taimhotep once you have them. By fast traveling out of here, you'll skip a fight with a few enemies. After taking the pieces to her, she'll ask you to ride with her and her maid to a pyramid in Saqqara Nome so she can perform her ritual there at night. Once she makes it to the top of the structure the quest should end.

Quest: The Baker's Dilemma

Suggested: Lv23

Reward: 1500XP

A baker seems to have lost her taster and can't work as hard as she used to. On top of that, she's all out of cinnamon. Track down the taster and bring him back to his partner. When you get there, he'll explain that there's been a plot to poison the cakes these bakers have made; set out to the nearby garrison and destroy the cakes before they poison somebody. The quest will end once all the cakes have been destroyed.

Location: Apagogeas Hideout

Location: At the southern border, to the southeast.

Objectives: Kill Captain, Loot Treasure

The patches of grass here make it incredibly easy to sneak up on everyone here. Oil jars are by a fire pit as well.

Location: Corrupted Soldiers Cache

Location: Southeast of the viewpoint to the northeast.

Objectives: Loot Treasure

You would imagine that a place with a name like this would have many enemies around it, but there are only about three or so. It goes without saying that this is an easy completion.

Location: Fai-Jon Lamentu Crypt

Location: Southwest of the middle viewpoint.

Objectives: Loot Treasure

To get to this crypt, you'll need to use a passageway in the Temple of Ptah. After getting through a snake fight, you should find the treasure among them.

Location: Hathor Cistern

Location: Underneath the Temple of Hathor, which is west of the lowest viewpoint.

Objectives: Loot Treasure (x2)

Jump down from the Temple of Hathor to get to the cistern, where you should easily find a treasure protected by a snake. Dive under the water here and you'll find a hidden cave leading to the other treasure, which has three snakes surrounding it.

Location: Memphis Barracks

Location: Right next to the city of Memphis.

Objectives: Kill Captain, Kill Commander, Loot Treasure (x2)

This place is pretty big, and despite your level you might find yourself in a pinch if you end up getting surrounded. I would suggest investing time to booby trap the brazier just in case someone decides to light it.

Location: Omorfi Villa

Location: Southwest of the middle viewpoint.

Objectives: Loot Treasure

There should only be two enemies here, so getting to the treasure is easy, especially since it's on the ground floor of the villa.

Location: Palace of Apries

Location: North of the viewpoint west of the city of Memphis.

Objectives: Find the nearby hidden Papyrus

The scroll here is on top of a bookshelf inside this large palace. The puzzle for this one is called In Plain Sight.

Location: Sunken Crypt

Location: North of the city of Memphis.

Objectives: Loot Treasure

The treasure in here is hidden deep underneath the surface. Take the entrance on the ground into the water and dive as deep as you can do in the ruins to get to it.

Location: Sunken Temple of Ramses

Location: In the water to the southeast.

Objectives: Loot Treasure (x2)

An underwater location, easy to complete.

Location: Temple of Hathor

Location: To the west of the lowest viewpoint.

Objectives: Kill Captain, Loot Treasure

The temple here has been taken over by enemies. There aren't a whole lot of them here, though, so you should be able to get through here just fine. The Hathor Cistern is underneath the temple.

Location: Temple of Ptah

Location: West of the middle viewpoint.

Objectives: Find the nearby hidden Papyrus

This scroll's on a table, and the puzzle is called Fallen Friend.

Location: Wabet

Location: Near the northern border of the region.

Objectives: Find the nearby hidden Papyrus

This scroll is at the back end of the temple, and is for a puzzle called Burning Bush.

Location: Yuny's Beset Villa

Location: To the far west of the highest viewpoint, by the side of a lake.

Objectives: Loot Treasure

There are a few enemies here, but you won't have to face many of them since the treasure you're looking for is on the second floor of this small villa.
