16. Assassin's Creed Origins Faiyum Oasis

Faiyum Oasis is a bit big, but it should be easier to complete than Faiyum.

Quest: Bad Faith

Suggested: Lv29

Hide ads

Reward: 3000XP, Legendary Scepter

After finishing Sobek's Tears and The Jaws of Sobek, return to Padiaset so you can start removing the problem behind Krokodilopolis' Temple of Sobek, otherwise known as Sehetep. Since this quest can be started at the end of either of the previously mentioned quests, this one is marked on both this page and the page for Uab Nome.

Padiaset will have survived an attack caused by Sehetep, and will tell you where the man is probably in hiding. Travel to the Temple of Sobek and kill him, then report it to Padiaset to finish the quest.

Quest: Fighting for Faiyum

Suggested: Lv30

Reward: 4500XP

After finishing the quest Shadya's Rest, talk to Hotephres again and head towards the farmer that was being harassed earlier. Help him with his work so he's got time to talk to you. As you return to Hotephres' villa once again, a group of soldiers will arrive. Kill them and travel with Khenut all the way into Haueris Nome so you can speak with some rebels, whose captain you need to rescue.

Now all that's left to do is kill the commander in Fort Boubastos. You'll get some help from the people of Faiyum, which you can use as a distraction as you hone down the commander. You can alternatively wait until the fighting stops and the enemy soldiers have had their health dwindled. Speak with Hotephres outside the fort when the commander is dead to end the quest.

Quest: Lights Among the Dunes

Suggested: Lv40

Reward: 3000XP, Legendary Light Bow

This quest probably won't show up on your map until later in the story, and can be started in either Atef-Pehu Nome, Haueris Nome, or Faiyum Oasis. Some speakers in each of these locations talk of a strange light in the Desheret Desert. If you've been here before, then you'll understand their confusion. If not, then head down to the quest marker and towards the only two locations in the entire Desheret region.

As you approach the area, undead bodies will rise up to fight you before returning to the dust of the earth. To get to the objective, you'll need to realign mirror pillars all throughout the walls of the tomb to open a door. A man named Parh will sit injured past the marker, demanding that you find his camel that holds the artifact that he found within this tomb. Upon finding it, you'll see some pretty strange stuff, after which you'll resolve to putting the artifact back where it belongs to prevent any more of this craziness happening anymore.

Another strange thing happens when you put the object back into place. Lots of enemies will appear out of nowhere, and after collapsing, you'll wake up in a house. A woman here will explain that she found you in the desert and will then send you on your way fit as a fiddle.

Quest: Shadya's Rest

Suggested: Lv30

Reward: 3000XP

After killing the Crocodile, you'll get this quest. Meet up with Hotephres in Philadelphia and follow him to the water to meet with is wife. Bayek will offer to perform a ritual for her, as long as you have a heron feather. Take one to her or, if you already have one, just stand still. When you come back, a Greek soldier will threaten a poor man before Khenut fends him off. Kill him after he leaves, and then speak to Hotephres about an insignia on the soldier's equipment. It turns out that the symbol is from a fort to the east; you'll finish this quest and get another shortly after.

Quest: Sobek's Tears

Suggested: Lv29

Reward: 3000XP

Upon getting close to this quest's start location, you'll see a man give a sacred crocodile an offering. Investigate the sick crocodile's enclosure (go around the wall to get to the last clue) and find a dead soldier out near the water. It seems he's been given orders to poison the crocodile. Find the person behind the plans and kill her to learn that one of the priests has been poisoning it in an attempt to get more offerings. Upon telling this to the man you talked to at the start of the quest, he won't believe you, but that won't matter because the quest will end anyway.

Quest: The Champion

Suggested: Lv28

Reward: 3000XP, Rare Shield

Two men will be fighting at a dock, with one being far superior. Help the old fighter out after the previous winner challenges you to a fight, then follow the older one to another fighter. Beat him up as well, and then meet up with the fighter at the lighthouse at sundown so you can head to the next fight for your training. During this third fight, however, the man you're up against will call for backup. After Hilarus gets carried away with a woman, the quest will end. The best thing you could take away from this quest is that youth is a state of mind.

Quest: The Jaws of Sobek

Suggested: Lv29

Reward: 3750XP

Upon finding an illegal tannery of sacred crocodiles, investigate the area to figure out what's going on. Head to the docks to the north and speak to the man taken prisoner by some soldiers. He'll tell you about the ship owned by the men doing this. Take to the water and find the manifest aboard the ship to figure out where these crocodiles are going, which is a harbor in Uab Nome. Just read the papers on the captain's desk and the quest will finish.

Quest: The Lure of Glory

Suggested: Lv35

Reward: 2500XP

After killing The Crocodile, the arena owner of Krokodilopolis will send you in the direction of Cyrene's arena for a tougher challenge. All you have to do is talk to the owner to finish the quest.

Quest: The Man Beast

Suggested: Lv28

Reward: 3000XP

A man on the island here claims that an old man is killing people in this village. Investigate the area and find a nearby cave to the east, where you'll find a crocodile and a caged man. He will tell you that a man named The Embalmer has been feeding live people to crocodiles for fun. Simply kill The Embalmer to finish the quest.
