In order to get this achievement you shouldn't drop a coin on the ground before Day 8.
Don't let the Greed touch you and be extra careful when hiring people. To be completely sure place your character exactly on the same level as a person you're going to hire (center of the horse sprite), and only then drop the coin.
At the start of Day 8 this achievement should unlock.
