This achievement can be accomplished starting at the part where you and Graves launch up onto the ship, after you've finished clearing the oil rig (which is where the mission starts). The small assault boat that you're on will crash-land onto the deck, and the ship will immediately start twisting around as a result of the collision.
This causes the containers on the boat to move around, which is what you'll use to move forward -- jumping from container to container, until you reach the front of the ship. The movement of the containers is fairly predictable, so simply spend some time watching where the containers move and you'll learn the pattern.
