What I did to unlock the achievement was I crafted blue and white grenades.
Grenade type doesn't matter, the all require the same amount of components. Got lot of XP for doing so.
Then I disassembled them, getting almost all of the components back.
Don't know if blue grenades net more crafting XP, but they used less white components.
When I couldn't craft more blue grenades, I crafted white ones which required more white components.
Then disassembled all of them again. Rinse and repeat.
