Before starting to play this I wasn't sure what to think of this game. The artwork looks ugly but interesting. I don't like roguelites/roguelikes that much but it seems to do something interesting and I like auto battlers. I ended up being intrigued by this game before playing it, doubting if it would be the game for me. How wrong could I be, it took an hour or so but after that I was hooked. A key component was to have a plan, what are you working toward. Most of the time this will be a building in your camp and when you know what you want to build you can figure out which enemies you need to beat for the resources.

I died a lot in the beginning by pushing too hard, thinking I can do another loop before returning back to the camp, but when doing so you only keep 30% of the resources. It is better to be safe and return earlier so your work doesn't feel worthless and building up your camp goes quicker.

You'll unlock 2 other classes in this game except for the warrior you begin with. I loved the rogue and have beaten the last 3 bosses by just using the rogue. The necromancer is very interesting but I never mastered his game style and always died before even reaching the boss. The warrior felt too plain to really enjoy, but it is a good start when you learn the game.

In this game it is very important which type of cards you take with you in a run and even more important is what you place on the board, because how more you place the sooner the boss is coming. Sometimes you want that, but other times you mostly want quality cards. As an example, forest cards are great with +1% attack speed but thicket cards are better with +2%, so I never placed a forest card except for when I'm ready for a boss and wanted to summon it now, but that situation didn't happen that much.

The achievements for this game are a nice combination of normal progression (beating bosses, unlocking all camp buildings, and fighting all different types of enemies) and specific requirements (Having 10 skeletons in combat, Getting resurrected 3 times in one run). You need to beat every boss multiple times (The first 3 bosses 3 times, the last one 6 times). This will also unlock all the possible traits if you always choose to unlock a trait. None of the achievements is missable and only for 1 achievement you need to start a new game, because you need to beat the first boss on the first run. Gladly the game has 3 different save slots.

Here some tips I have for some of the achievements:
    - You need to unlock all encyclopedia pages, this only counts for the first 3 tabs (Tiles, Enemies, Ingredients), you don't have to use "Book of Memories" on the supply items. Don't use them for that, if you have enough of them, use the alchemy option to get other resources.
    - To resurrect 3 times in one run you need the "Omnicron Technique" trait. I saw some guides saying you get it from the first boss, but this isn't always the case. It seems that the traits are randomly distributed through the bosses and for me, the last boss had this trait. Make sure to keep an eye out for this trait and don't try to get this achievement before you are sure you got the trait. I spend hours trying to get it because I thought I had this trait since I got all the traits from the first boss.

Don't worry about the achievements while playing this game, enjoy the progress and give yourself short-term goals like unlocking new camp buildings or getting resources to craft specific supply items. None of the achievements are missable and you can get them all with time and hard work.
