This is a guide for all achievements in Euro Truck Simulator 2 | ETS 2 + ALL DLC.

The achievements for ETS2 are not difficult. Some will take a long time to unlock, but nothing is impossible.

If everyone is ready, it's time to begin!

After about 150+ hours in-game I've decided to share some wisdom. Stuff that I've found out through experimentation to enhance the ETS 2 experience. This guide is focused more at newer players, but hopefully even folks that have been playing for a while will get something out of it.

Controls and Configuration (Gamepad)

I use an Xbox One controller and these settings help out a lot. Set your triggers to acceleration and braking. Set your right stick to look. Increase your up/down look deadzone significantly. This allows you to slap your look stick left and right to scan intersections quickly without accidentally ending up staring at the floor or roof of your cab. Increase your steering sensitivity. Matter of taste, but the default steering is just too slow for cornering at speed. If you find yourself braking mid turn to wait for your steering to catch up, this is a must.

Efficiency

Cruise control - Use it. I played about 10 hours without it and I can't even guess how many speeding violations I got or how many times out of fear of getting them I travelled under the speed limit costing me time. Building on that, set your cruise tolerance to zero, turn on auto retarder.
Watch the speed limit signs though, especially in areas where speed cameras are common. Running with cruise control it's easy to get in the zone and miss a speed limit sign.
Sleep efficiency - There is no such thing as a partial rest. Every time you rest it's going to burn 8 hours, even if you're not that tired yet. Start looking for a place to park after the first yawn, no sooner. You'll be fine.

Most jobs will allot you enough time to sleep once, especially after you put a few points in the long distance skill, which you'll want to do early on. For the really long jobs you'll have time to sleep 2 or 3 times and have time to spare for checking out new towns along your route.
Never travel empty - When you go to job selection, click on the dot on the map for the city you're in. This will list ONLY jobs originating in that city. If there are no high paying jobs, just grab a short distance job to a nearby city and try again there. And remember, € / £ / $ per km is what you're after, don't just grab the highest total payout.

One additional tip on efficiency: On long trips you can and probably should edit your route. Open your world map once you've picked up a job and drop pins (waypoints) in towns right near your route that you haven't explored yet to unlock the truck dealerships and recruiters there. The little time it takes won't make you run late on the long jobs. You can also avoid 60 km speed limit country roads in Germany and manually choose to travel on the autobahn instead. Watch the upper left corner to see how much time you're saving.

Your Rig

The cheapest Iveco truck is severely lacking. Get a Volvo or one of the other trucks that starts with good baseline HP. Trust me, it's worth saving up the little bit of extra money when you're not crawling up hills, or when you're driving stop-and-go in the cities. Once you get the later engine upgrades it's incredibly satisfying passing the trucks that are struggling up hills.

Necessary upgrades - Money early game is tight. Upgrade your engine as they become available, also your tires. Grab a transmission with retarder equipped for the cruise tip above. That's all you really need. Allison 6 speed trannies are garbage, don't waste your time.

Unnecessary but helpful upgrades - Put a light bar on the roof with a couple aux lights, but bear in mind they only work when your high beams are on.

Also get side skirts and a bull bar. These will dramatically reduce your damage when you inevitably cut a corner too sharp, get sideswiped in a roundabout, whatever. They pay for themselves quickly.

Starting your Business

Unless you've played before, wherever you chose to put your home garage chances are you're going to end up hating the location. Don't bother upgrading it. By the time you can afford your first garage, you're going to want to move.

Buy a garage in a good hub city and move there. Once you've moved, sell your starting garage. Buy your second (and third, if you can afford it) trucks and put them there. Buy Ivecos for your fleet trucks, at least at first. There is NO benefit to buying better trucks for your hired drivers. None. It makes no difference at all. Tip here, if money is super tight you can change the paint-job to a cheaper color to save about $500 per truck. Strip off optional accessories like the sun shield and front mirror to save even more valuable cash.Then hire and assign your drivers - Try to start with drivers that have at least one point in long distance and one point in ADR. If none are available, no worries. Grab whoever and assign them to trucks. Manage them and set them to focus on ADR or long distance until they have a point or two in each. Then put a point into each of their skills (Except Eco, don't sweat Eco yet) to maximize their job opportunities. Don't want them returning bobtail either.
Back to the loan - The 12% interest on the 400k loan works out to .. Well math, but it's less than 2k per day.And within a few days their skills will increase and they'll be making more than that, so you're already profiting. If you wait "I don't need no BANK to pay my way" you'll be losing out on a ton of potential profit. Don't worry about paying the loan off early, just use your revenue to keep expanding.

Assorted Tips

Turn up the rain. It's Europe, not the Sahara. I find 20-25% is a good setting.If you have a music folder on your computer, you can create a shortcut to it and drop it in the documents\ETS2\Music folder to access your music in game.

Never skip skilled parking your trailer - It gets easy after a while and the experience boost is worth learning to do it. Matter of fact, just go into the gameplay options and set it to skilled only. Pop-ups ruin the immersion.

Friends are Always here to help you - All you need to do to gain this achievement is use automatic parking instead of doing it manually while parking with a trailer.

From the comfort of your home - To complete this achievement you must own at least five trucks in your company to unlock the ability to buy trucks online and you must have at least one empty slot in any of your garages. If all of that is done, go to the "Truck dealers" tab in menu, select any salon you want, click the "buy online" button, select any truck, press the buy button and select the garage you want your new truck in.

Honey, I'm home - To gain this achievement you must go back to the main garage by using the quick travel function. Go back to the menu, select the company manager and then choose the garage manager. Then select the "map" option and search for your main headquarters, which has a slightly different icon. Choose it and select "quick travel".

Reliable contractor - To gain this achievement you must perform jobs for at least 15 different companies in the game. It can be "quick order" or "consignment". You can damage the cargo or be fined. It is allowed to take deliveries to the same city from which you have taken it. Companies available in the game are:

All is possible - To unlock this achievement you must complete 30 jobs with different cargo. You can damage the cargo. It is allowed to take deliveries to the same city from which you have taken it. You definitely should note which cargo you have already delivered.

National company - There is not much to say about this achievement. To get it, you must buy all garages available in the country where your headquarter is - if it is in Budapest, you must buy all garages - there are only two garages available to buy in Hungary.

Just in time! - To unlock this achievement first you must check if you have the "Delivery on time" skill upgraded to the second level, otherwise you won't have the urgent deliveries unlocked. Also, check if you have the "Long distance" skill at level 2 or better. If those requirements are met, go to the "short deliveries" or "consignment" tab and search for a delivery with three red lines. Click on the selected job and check it's distance (remember that traveling on a boat or a train doesn't count). If it's longer than 550 km, take it and complete it.

Test drive limited - To gain this achievement you must complete a job that's at least 999 km (it can be even 2,000 km, but it can't be less than 999 km) with every truck available in the game:

• MAN
• DAF
• Mercedes-Benz
• Renault Iveco
• Scania
• Volvo

The trucks must be owned by you and the jobs must be done in the "job market". While riding those 999km you can damage your vehicle, cargo and be fined, but you can't be late with the delivery. It's a good idea to open a notepad and write which vehicles have you already used.

• Test Drive Limited

  Drive at least 999 km during jobs with each truck brand featured in the game. Only your owned trucks are counted. (MAN, DAF, Mercedes-Benz, Renault, Iveco, Scania, Volvo)

  
  

Job is only worth it if it's done well! - To unlock this achievement you must complete a delivery for a job that is at least 1,000 km (it can be more) while avoiding touching other cars and driving carefully so not to damage your cargo (even 1%). You must avoid traffic offenses as well - so don't drive too fast, maybe turn the speed limiter on. Another thing you must be vary of is time - you can't be late.

Long hauler - To complete this task you will need the "long distance" skill at level six. It can be a "quick order" or a cargo taken from the "consignment". During the drive you can damage your trailer and be fined. Control your distance!

Profit hunter - If you want to unlock this achievement, you will have to transport a cargo for a minimum distance of 2,200 km and it must be worth more than €130,000. You will need the "long distance" skill at level six and other skills developed as well for a job like that to even appear. You won't find such cargo in the "quick order". You will need to hunt for it - and if it appears on the other side of the man, use the quick travel.

Experience beats ALL! - To be awarded with this achievement you must deliver a cargo using all trailer types. You can make it easier by writing down what you have already used. What is worth mentioning, the distance and how much will you earn doesn't matter. You can even search in the "quick order" for a delivery from "Catania" to "Catania" (for example).

  Complete deliveries with all trailer types (Machinery, ADR cargo, Container, Refrigerated, Liquid cargo, Fragile cargo, Construction, Bulk cargo)

  
  

Careerist - Remember, you can't use auto parking, damage the cargo or be late. If you fail at one of those requirements during, for example, your fourth delivery, then you will have to start over from the beginning. Save often!!

Swimming in success - To gain this achievement you must own garages that create an average daily profit of €450,000. To check your current daily profit go to the "Garage manager", select any garage and see all stats.

Successfully docked - To unlock this achievement you must use all ports in the game. The following table lists all seaports appearing in ETS 2. The names of seaports follow those shown on in-game signs. Expansions necessary for truckers to travel through a particular seaport are also listed.

Minimaxer - Some tips to obtain this achievement.

Skills requirements:

• 6 points in ADR
• 1 point in LONG DISTANCE
• 1 point in FRAGILE CARGO
• 2 points in JUST IN TIME

Go to Quick Job and pick ADR from filters. Make sure you always choose a job that has over 250km, "URGENT" + "FRAGILE" + "ADR". Sea travel will not grant experience but will add to the distance counter, so DON'T use this.

Remember to save often to avoid frustration.

At the end of the delivery, you should get experience at least twice the amount of the road distance you have covered. If not, there is something you are missing.

Aspects of professionalism - One of the most difficult and time consuming tasks. It requires having 10 male and 10 female employees with 10.0 work evaluation (it's the highest one possible). You can check it in the driver manager. Really time consuming!

Working with the elite - To unlock this achievement you must own five large garages (those with five places for drivers) with 100% productivity at the same time. The higher the level of your drivers, the easier it is to gain this achievement. You can check the productivity of your garages in the garage manager.

Keep Calm And Haul Heavy - This achievement requires the player to deliver three consecutive jobs of heavy cargo on time, without damage and without getting fines during the drive.

In the job screen you can add filters. If you choose the filter on the weight you'll probably get the heavy cargo jobs first. Remember, three in a row, so don't take other jobs in between them, only heavy cargo ones. I suggest going for jobs with shorter distances. The sooner it's over, the smaller the chance to get a fine.

Driver Exceptionnel - Complete deliveries on all over-size routes in the current map. These jobs look exactly the same as the ones described above "The Bigger the Better" but this achievement also counts routes from your other DLCs:
