LEGO DC Super-Villains Officially Announced

The leaky E3 ship hasn't failed to disappoint this year. After Walmart supposedly leaked a lot of unannounced titles, developers and publishers have been rushing to reveal their games properly before the rumour mill went into overdrive. One of those rumoured titles was LEGO DC Super-Villains from TT Games. After officially teasing the game last week, the team has now gone for a full blown reveal of their latest superhero super-villain title due to arrive in October.

For the first time in a LEGO title, players will experience an original story from the perspective of a number of villainous characters from the DC universe. In the game, the Justice League has vanished. Now, Earth's protection lies solely in the hands of a new group of heroes known as the Justice Syndicate. They hail from a parallel universe, and suspicions are running high. Several renowned villains from the Legion of Doom believe these heroes aren't all they make themselves out to be, and the so-called heroes might even have evil plans of their own. For once, it's up to the villains to do something right and foil whatever intentions the new heroes have.

At the beginning of the game, players will create their own DC Super-Villain who will take on the role of the main character. They'll team up with several other villains throughout the story and travel to locations DC fans will already find familiar. As the campaign progresses, more abilities and powers will be unlocked with which players can further customise their character. As usual, local co-op returns so that the whole story can be experienced at the side of a friend or family member.

As well as the standard edition of the game, there will be a Deluxe Edition that will include all Season Pass content, the "Justice League Dark DLC Character Pack" and early access to the "DC Super-Villains: TV Series DLC Character Pack". The title is available for pre-order right now and will be released on October 16th.
