Skyforge Gets Free Overgrowth Expansion Next Month

By Rebecca Smith,
Developer Allods Entertainment has announced another free expansion for their MMORPG Skyforge. "Overgrowth" will introduce a new class, reworked story missions, and a new challenges system upon its release next month. Before the content's arrival, players can take part in a pre-release questchain that's available right now.

"Overgrowth" introduces players to the Grovewalkers class. The mages are highly proficient in the use of wild nature magic, specialising in long-range attacks. They appear to be quite nimble in movement, but they do have the ability to call up living armour that changes them into tanks that can happily cope on the front line.

The new story missions see the return of Tessa, the Goddess of Flowers. She has been driven away from her home planet by a Phytonide invasion that has corrupted nature itself. Alongside her children, she travels to Aelion to ask for help in driving back the invasion, but the Phytonide are not far behind. The Grovewalkers can't be corrupted by the voice of the Phytonide leader, so can they help her? Before the expansion releases next month, a pre-release questchain is available right now for players to help Tessa in the meantime.

Although the expansion will include a new challenges system, details on this are not yet available. What we do know is that the expansion will be released on Steam on April 11th and it will be free to download.
