Batman: The Enemy Within Final Episode Dated

By Rebecca Smith,
When Telltale first announced their episodic adventure titles, the aim was to release a new episode every month. For some titles, though, that's not been possible, and Batman: The Enemy Within - The Telltale Series is no exception. Seven months after the release of the game's first episode, Episode 5 "Same Stitch" will finally be released on March 27th. The following description may contain spoilers pertaining to previous episodes, so read on at your own risk.

Episode 5

What would you choose: a friend whose unhinged approach to justice turns your allies against you, or a sworn enemy who will stop at nothing to see you suffer as your city burns? Based on the relationship you’ve built with John Doe, you'll see one of two very different stories play out. So what’ll it be, Bruce: friend...or foe?
Player choice comes to the forefront in the final episode as their decisions will dictate which version of The Joker (and his related story) they'll see in the final episode. Now that John Doe has fully evolved into The Joker, will he be "a ruthless villain that hews closer to the classic Clown Prince of Crime", or will he be "an unpredictable vigilante that’s unlike any other portrayal of DC’s iconic character"?

Telltale promises that the two storylines are very different, and share just three overlapping scenes at most throughout the episode's 3 1/2 hours of content. Of course, there are also other smaller variations based on previous choices, and "Same Stitch" is described as "Telltale’s “branchiest” episode ever". Take a look at the screenshots below, but bear in mind you might not see some of these in your version of the game.

As usual, players will be able to purchase the final episode separately or as part of the game's Season Pass on the digital marketplace.
