TrueSteam Walkthroughs Department Is Now Open For Business

Hi all,

One of the great successes of our sister sites (TrueAchievements and TrueTrophies) are the walkthroughs. TrueAchievements alone, at the time of publishing this article, currently hosts 1,678 walkthroughs from 587 writers, which have garnered more “thanks” votes then we’d care to count*.

What are walkthroughs?

Walkthroughs offer a fantastic way to earn all the achievements in a given game, in the most efficient and time-effective way possible. Whilst using the achievement solutions offered on this site are an excellent resource, it’s sometimes difficult to determine an efficient order in which all the achievements in a game can be earned. To remedy this issue, we’ve now introduced the walkthroughs section.

Walkthroughs, much like most other elements on this site, are purely user-driven. This means that we require you to help us populate the walkthroughs section with effective and simple-to-use guides on earning all the achievements in your favourite game(s).

Why not use X site which caters solely to walkthroughs?

Whilst we haven’t reinvented the wheel by introducing walkthroughs to this site, it’s the only Steam achievements-related website which implements walkthrough into their system. Other websites which are geared solely for walkthrough rarely mention earning the achievements. With the addition of walkthroughs here on TrueSteamAchievements, we really are the one-stop shop for all of your achievement-related needs.

How do I get involved?

To volunteer to write a walkthrough, simply head over to the Volunteer thread and post which games you’d like to write a walkthrough for and a member of the team will be in touch. Before you start writing though, please familiarise yourself with the Information on Walkthroughs thread which holds valuable information on your authoring journey.
