Minimum number of playthroughs needed: You need multiple runs, but that is normally in a rogue-lite game
Is there a good guide available: There are multiple guides available on the steam guide section, but the most important thing is to know how to evolve items, I'll explain more below
    Multiplayer achievements: No
    Missable achievements: No
    Grinding Achievements: No
    DLC-Only achievements: No
    Speedrun achievements: No
    Time-gated achievements: No

    Unobtainable/glitched achievements: No

This cheap game may not have the best looks, but don't let that turn you away from this amazing game! This one can start slow but is so very addictive and so much fun, the hours flew by while playing this game. It is still in early access and will probably get more achievements, so this review feels somewhat a bit early, but I just want to scream from the roofs how good this game is. A run can start slowly, but if you do things right and have a little bit of luck you can feel so overpowered and that just makes it feel so so good. I hope that the updates this game for sure will get during its early access process will keep that feeling in mind as it is the best.

There are a few things that are good to know and keep in mind which will make your progress through the game and getting all the achievements a lot easier:
    - There is meta progression, you will be able to buy abilities with the coins you get during each run.
    - You can only have 12 skills in each run, so choose wisely when picking stills each level up.
    - Try to get your damage skill up as high as possible early on, as that will mostly determine how long you stay alive.
    - But the most important thing of all is to evolve your weapons!

I'll explain that last point a bit more. Almost all weapons can be evolved to a much better version. How you do that is leveling up the weapon to the max level it has, having the support item that it needs (the level of that item doesn't matter), and then kill a boss so you get a chest. Most of the time the evolve weapon will be the reward (and unlocks an achievement the first time you do that for each weapon). Sometimes it might be wise to leave a chest on the ground if you're very close to the max level of that weapon and just first lvl up till you get that and then go back to that chest to pick it up.
Here is the list of the weapons and it support item:

Axe + Candelabrador = Death Spiral
Cross + Clover = Heaven Sword
Fire Wand + Spinach = Hellfire
Garlic + Pummarola = Soul Eater
King Bible + Spellbinder = Unholy Vespers
Knife + Bracer = Thousand Edge
Lightning Ring + Duplicator = Thunder Loop
Magic Wand + Empty Tome = Holy Wand
Peachone + Ebony Wings = Vandalier
Pentagram + Crown = Gorgeous Moon
Santa Water + Attractorb = La Borra
Song of Mana + Skull O'Maniac = Mannajja
Whip + Hollow Heart = Bloody Tear

In my mind, this is the most important list to keep in mind while playing Vampire Survivors, as the evolved weapons are just so much stronger.

The achievements are all very straightforward and none of them is missable due to this being a rogue-lite. The meta progress will help you out getting the achievement easier and another great thing is that you can reset your meta progress to go for different stats without any penalty. This gives you the freedom to experiment with different playstyles without being penalized if it didn't work out for you.

TLDR: This game is just amazing! Go give it a try.

Vampire Survivors is a tremendously fun experience and one of the most addicting (in a good way) games I've played.
It has quickly become one of my favourite games to relax to a podcast with.
Someone told me that the game 'releases all the endorphins you'd get from loot boxes and the like, without the scummy monetisation' and I agree.
It keeps you engaged and alert while playing, even though you are only using WASD or the analogue stick to move characters around.
I discovered it via Game Pass on Xbox but now have bought it on every platform I own, I like it so much.
You get more than a lot of bang for your buck and even with all of the DLC, the game is still very inexpensive. It's definitely worth a try.
