To be honest, I wasn't expecting anything great out of Skyhill. However, what I was met with turned out to be a fun and addictive rogue-like title with simple mechanics and a simple premise.

You're Perry Jason (yes, I know), and your main goal at this time is to get to the bottom of the Skyhill Hotel. You have 100 floors to traverse, and three rooms on each floor. The variety in items and monsters is very slim, but the amount of events that can occur and the highly likely event that the game will screw you over during a good run will keep you coming back for more.

Out of the nearly seven hours I've put into the game since its release, I have only been able to beat the game twice; both the alternate endings, I haven't even unlocked the original ending yet. I haven't even unlocked Hardcore mode at this point. So there's still quite a bit of replayability left.

The achievements add another element to the game which will elongate the experience for players. Feeling extra lucky? Try an all Vegan run! Hate your life? Beat the game on Hardcore! Super unlucky? Well there's achievements for those of you who can't stop dying.

Overall, Skyhill has been one of my favorite rogue-like experiences. I highly recommend it for fans of the genre, as it is challenging but you can take things at your own pace. Let's also not forget the crafting. If you're good at prioritizing your goods, you can come out of Skyhill with some pretty godly weapons; though remember, you can't take them to the next playthrough.
