3. Crazy Taxi Original Mode

Original Mode is the first mode that you should run through, given the name. Start up the game and set it up (your driver doesn't really matter) for a five minute work session, then drive to people around town who need rides. They'll have money symbols over their head, and depending on the color, they'll pay you more for your work. Green is the best pay, with red being the worst, but you'll have to drive farther for higher-paying customers. Set whatever keys you feel like for the accelerate, drive, and reverse functions. These three are very important for a lot of crazy moves used later, so be sure to remember these keys. When you finish this run, you'll earn one of four achievements. The number above a customer's head when you're driving them indicates how long you have to get to the destination before they get fed up and hop out, so keep an eye on it as you drive around.

The four achievements for this mode work in a fairly odd way compared to most other games. You need to finish Original Mode at four different rankings, which means you need to play at least four different times. These don't stack, so you can't earn the highest rank to get the other three lower achievements. To get a C-Rank, you need to finish with your pay within the range of $2000-$2999, which you can check at the top right of your screen in-game. If you'd like to start with this one first, just stop moving when you're in this range. A B-Rank requires a pay between $3000-$3999. Both of these can easily be obtained with just five minutes of pay, so to avoid wasting your time, make these two runs just five minutes long.

The two harder achievements will require a bit more time to earn, so play 10-minute runs when going for these. You can also increase your score by making near misses with other cars and doing neat tricks, but the easiest of these two would naturally be the near miss method. If you're familiar with some racing games like Forza Horizon, this is a commonly used concept; just drive near a car on the road and avoid crashing into it to increase your pay. An A-Rank license requires $4000-$4999, and the S-Rank license is given for any score above $5000.

Again, none of these are stackable, but you'll get these done so quickly that it won't really matter all that much. Assuming you don't accidentally get the same rank twice, you'll have finished this mode off in about half an hour.
